Hand tools Mallets

These various mallets, setting-in sticks or bending sticks are used for shaping and forming lead, copper, zinc or aluminum. Their special shapes provide an accurate forming according to the work to be made: lead welts, lining of chimney outlet for example. Originally the mallet is a tool made of hornbeam or beech, wooden essences particularly appreciated for their resistance. Too much worn out, the mallet was planed to give it back its first qualities. Since then, the high-density PVC is widely used to make these tools.
